Spicy Pulled Pork
My husband is not a fan of sweet and salty food mixes, so he was wary of someone at work that wanted to do a pulled pork for a company lunch. When he brought in this meat, David had to get the recipe.
| 5 | lbs | Pork roast |
| 2 | Tbsp | Salt |
| 2 | Tbsp | Pepper |
| 2 | Tbsp | Paprika |
| 1/2 | tsp | Garlic Powder |
| 2 | Tbsp | Sugar - Brown |
| 1 | Tbsp | cumin |
| 1 | tsp | chili powder |
| 1 | tsp | Cayenne pepper |
Combine spices and mix throroughly. Rub spices on pork roast generously.
Place in slow cooker. Add 2-3 cups water. Cook in slow cooker 6-8 hours on low.
When pork is tender, pull pork with 2 forks. For spicy pork, put the pulled pork back into the sauce mix. For milder flavor, pull pork and place in a different container. Lightly keep moist with water or diluted sauce mix.
Because the meat cooks for so long, an inexpensive cut of meat works great.
